Join Our Children’s Long-Term Ventilation & Complex Needs Team
This specialist service supports children and young people with complex health needs, technology dependence, and life-limiting conditions. You’ll primarily work within this team but may also contribute across the wider Children’s Community Nursing Service.
Your Role
Collaborate with colleagues and multidisciplinary partners to design and deliver coordinated care packages that make a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, assess, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
• Provide clinical training and support for registered and non-registered staff
• Act as a credible role model and resource for colleagues
• Offer clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
• Participate in the on-call rota and ensure evidence-based practice
• Assess staff skills and competency, and provide holistic support for families and carers
What We’re Looking For
• Registered Children’s Nurse (NMC) with diploma or degree-level education
• Experience with children and young people with complex needs
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
