Are you interested in working in a motivated, forward thinking, family friendly team?
If so, an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist continence nurse within Salford Children's community services has become available.
The post-holder will be responsible for the management of the childrens continence caseload which comprises of children aged 2-19 years with a diagnosis of constipation and/ or enuresis. The post holder will work closely with the lead consultant who has clinical oversight for the continence caseload and the nursing staff within childrens outpatients who support continence clinics.
The post holder will be responsible for the triaging of referrals in accordance with the continence pathway. They will undertake an initial assessments and develop management plans for children meeting continence caseload criteria. They will provide specialist nursing support, advice, education and/or care to that continence caseload, referring to specialist tertiary services where necessary. They will carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, ensuring safe and timely discharges and the setting of standards within the Children’s Continence Team.
The post holder will work independently and as part of the wider team, supporting the nursing team within childrens outpatients who support the childrens continence clinics.
