Summary
The role of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse is to operationally and clinically manage Tivoli ward at Cheltenham General Hospital. Tivoli is a 21 bedded ward that receive elective and emergency urology admissions, elective gynaecology oncology patients and elective general surgery cases. The band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will be accountable and responsible for the 24 hour care delivery and management of the ward. This will involve the line management of the nursing team to monitor sickness, appraisals and training compliance. The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will lead the training and development of the nursing team to ensure clinical practice is developed and maintained and oversee the quality and safety of patient care that is being delivered.
