We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will drive DevOps strategy, lead engineering initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to deliver highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Lead and oversee end-to-end DevOps practices across build, release, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation practices across the organization.
Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery performance and reliability.
Drive containerization, orchestration, and microservices deployment strategies.
Establish and enforce cloud security, compliance, and governance standards.
Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-mortem activities.
Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, enforcing best practices.
Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies for process improvements.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
10+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
The candidate must have deep, hands-on expertise in leading and managing large-scale cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including core services such as computer, networking, security, storage, and managed databases.
They should be highly proficient in designing and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform as the primary tool, and experienced with additional IaC frameworks like CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible.
The role requires extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and strong proficiency in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE), including Helm, RBAC, ingress controllers, and service mesh tools.
The candidate must be capable of architecting robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, with a strong emphasis on pipeline-as-code, automated testing, and continuous delivery of best practices.
They should possess strong scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash, Go, or Shell, with the ability to build automation frameworks and integrate with APIs.
A solid understanding of Linux system administration is essential, including OS internals, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch, and be able to build dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing systems.
Strong knowledge of Git-based workflows is required, including version control best practices, branching strategies, code reviews, and GitOps methodologies using tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.
They must have a strong foundation in DevSecOps practices, including secrets management (Vault, SSM, KMS), container scanning, dependency scanning, and implementation of SAST/DAST tools to ensure secure delivery pipelines.
The candidate should be able to design and automate complex build and deployment processes using artifact management tools such as Nexus or JFrog Artifactory, and implement advanced deployment patterns such as blue/green, canary, and rolling releases.
Experience with cloud networking concepts—including VPC design, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, routing, security groups, and firewalls—is required for supporting secure and scalable architectures.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, distributed systems, and service reliability principles is expected.
The candidate should be capable of driving SRE-oriented practices, including defining SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and conducting incident responses, root-cause analysis, and post-mortems.
