Summary

Senior People Operations Manager

This pivotal role is instrumental in driving the effective delivery of UKSV's mission, continuously elevating standards by implementing and maintaining effective and relevant performance and people management strategies.

The post is key to providing guidance and support across many people aspects including casework, policy and process implementation and people data analytics. The role involves working with the central Cabinet Office teams to deliver departmental people policies and strategies.

The role is also dedicated to fostering strong employee relations, engaging in regular, impactful consultation with local Trade Union representatives on vital areas such as change management, reward structures, performance frameworks, and operational delivery within a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:

As the Senior People Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an excellent HR performance culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage casework requirements working closely with the central Complex Casework team and MoJ Casework Service.
  • Maintaining strong employee relations focusing on delivering people practices which develop positive working relationships, working closely with unions, UKSV Culture team colleagues and employee representatives.
  • Facilitating impactful people related initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Supporting performance management by coaching and developing line management capabilities.
  • Analysing HR data, making informed decisions, and recommending appropriate interventions to senior management teams
  • Managing a small team, focusing on coaching and professional development.
  • Engaging with wider Cabinet Office colleagues to deliver central policies and projects
  • Support and oversee the assessment of organisational HR needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance overall effectiveness in collaboration with the key stakeholders.
  • Drive the people strategy execution by monitoring progress, tracking performance, and communicating updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Providing advice and guidance to senior managers on people related strategies, plans and challenges including productivity and team performance
