The role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Workshop Assistant to join our production team. This hands-on role involves supporting the workshop in all aspects of timber playground manufacturing, including material preparation, assembly, finishing, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll be doing
Assist with the cutting, shaping, and assembly of timber playground components
Prepare timber materials (e.g., sanding, drilling)
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Keeping the workshop tidy, tools in their place, and the workspace safe
Load and unload materials, assist with deliveries, and move stock as needed
Perform quality control checks
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
Getting stuck in and helping wherever needed
The ideal candidate
Previous workshop, woodworking, or construction experience (preferred but not essential)
Basic understanding of tools and machinery used in timber work
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
A passion for craftsmanship and making high-quality products
Willingness to learn and take instruction
