About the Role

As a Website Content Officer, you will play a vital role in creating, editing, and publishing impactful content across Barnardo's digital platforms – including our website and blog. From expert-led advice to lived experience stories, your work will ensure that our audiences get the support and information they need.

You'll collaborate with teams across the organisation, apply SEO and UX best practices, and use data-driven insights to improve our online presence.
In this role you will:

Write and publish clear, inclusive, and engaging content for our website and blog.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate and evidence-based materials.
Optimise content for SEO and user experience, using tools such as GA4, Hotjar, and Ahrefs.
Maintain and update existing content, ensuring accuracy and relevancy.
Support content planning within integrated campaigns.
Ensure content meets accessibility standards and data protection principles.

About You

You'll be a creative and detail-oriented communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. You're passionate about digital storytelling and know how to tailor your writing to meet audience needs.
We're looking for someone who has:

Proven experience writing digital content for large, mission-driven or commercial organisations.
Strong editorial and copywriting skills for web.
Familiarity with content management systems (ideally Drupal).
Understanding of SEO and user-focused content strategy.
Comfortable analysing content performance using digital tools.
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
