- Operate and maintain specialized equipment for asbestos removal.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including risk assessments and work reports.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Valid Asbestos Removal Operative (ARCA or equivalent) certification.
- Proven experience in asbestos removal or related work.
- Knowledge of current asbestos regulations and safety standards in the UK.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid CSCS card is preferred but not mandatory.
Day-to-day
- Conducting thorough site assessments to identify and manage asbestos risks.
- Safely removing and disposing of asbestos-containing materials.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations during operations.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment after use.
- Reporting progress and any issues to supervisors.
- Assisting in the preparation of work areas and ensuring proper containment measures are in place.
