Summary


Minimum compulsory requirements
I. Must possess a bachelor’s degree in the course of study
II. Must possess a qualification in church administration or planting obtained from a Bible College
III. Applicant must have experience in interpreting the English language into the Yoruba language (Nigerian language), both in written and spoken forms.
IV. Familiarity with our doctrines and a commitment to upholding them is preferred; equivalent experience in aligned settings is welcome. Alternative paths, such as training, work, or publications, will also be considered.
V. Evidence of alignment with our values and a practical understanding of our doctrines is strongly preferred, demonstrated through prior responsibilities, training, or references.
Desirable requirements
I. Should have experience in choir management/ ministration
II. Should have experience in leading a youth ministry
Job Description.
I. Leading the congregation in performing the rites and rituals of the Christian faith and in preaching the essentials of the Christian creed.
II. To attend and lead the congregation in the doctrines and worship of the Christian faith in all services and church programmes, including weddings, naming ceremonies and funerals.
III. To develop programmes suitable for the church in the services and to also motivate the congregation to love Christ and obtain salvation through the ministry.
IV. To assist the largely Yoruba-speaking congregation in interpreting materials, messages and other associated issues in the ministry.
V. To offer counselling (also to Yoruba speakers within the congregation) and welfare support to members of the congregation. To oversee church office operations/ staff, train a pool of potential interpreters (English to Yoruba language)
VI. To train other potential ministers in the work of the ministry
VII. A strong understanding of and commitment to our Christian doctrines is essential for this role. This is typically demonstrated through substantial involvement or leadership in our communities or those closely aligned with us; equivalent experience will also be considered.
VIII. The ability to uphold and represent our Christian doctrines in practice (e.g., through teaching, guidance, or public representation) is required, supported by significant relevant experience or involvement.
