Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are delighted to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a colleague to join our growing Social Studies faculty. This currently comprises Health and Social Care and Psychology at KS4 & 5, Sociology and Criminology at KS5 and Religious Studies at all key stages.

If you are an outstanding teacher it really is worth applying for this post. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who has experience of teaching Health and Social Care and a willingness to teach one or more of the following: Psychology, Religious Studies or PSHE. Part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.

Essential

• Experience of teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 & 5
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching or evidence of outstanding practice during training (trainees would need evidence of potential to develop into a strong teacher)
• Proven track record of outstanding outcomes (trainees would need evidence of potential to develop into a strong teacher)


• Proven track record of strong and effective behaviour management strategies
• Excellent ability to use ICT in varied and innovative ways
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to all stakeholders
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities
• Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience of teaching Psychology at either KS4 or KS5
• Experience ofteaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4
