Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant to join our friendly, inclusive school, to support SEND children across the school. The role will involve working with children who have a range of complex needs such as ASD, speech and language difficulties or cognition and learning challenges. The role could involve working in our mainstream plus provision or supporting children across the school working in their own classes.

The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of all the children in our care and to raising standards.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

• Will promote our friendly Catholic ethos, and will work as part of a committed team.
• Will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their learning and behaviour.
• Provide tailored support to pupils in both classroom and individual settings.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
• Contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
• Have the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
• Will have a commitment to innovation, creativity and inclusion.
