Serco is looking for an additional Small Works & Variation Manager to join our Estates Projects Team, working on behalf of NHS Forth Valley at Forth Valley Royal Hospital , site has 860 beds and covers a single site of approximately 95,000 square metres.

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of minor capital projects, small works, and variations—from initial enquiry through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full project lifecycle: scoping, tendering, contracting, delivery, and completion
- Prepare and issue briefs to suppliers, evaluate quotations, and ensure value for money
- Oversee contractors on site, ensuring safety and compliance (SHTMs, CDM, infection control)
- Coordinate project schedules to minimise disruption to clinical services
- Maintain accurate records, perform post-completion reviews, and ensure O&M documentation is complete
- Engage with clinical teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to communicate progress, risks, and costs
- Uphold compliance with NHS / Serco standards and regulations

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience managing small works or minor construction projects
- Strong organisational skills, with ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Budget management, cost-evaluation, and supplier negotiation experience
- Technical knowledge of health-sector compliance (CDM, SHTMs) is highly desirable
- Experience in healthcare estates / public sector is a plus
