This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Specialist Psychotherapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to expand their skills and expertise across a range of mental health services. The post combines work within an accredited Therapeutic Community and the Slough Adult Mental Health Psychological Therapies Team, offering invaluable exposure to diverse clinical environments.

You will work within the Slough Community Mental Health Team and across Berkshire, providing leadership through staff supervision and management. You will also contribute your specialist knowledge to a broad multidisciplinary mental health team.

This position offers a unique chance to play a key role in Slough’s co-production pathway and in the ongoing development of the Royal College of Psychiatrists–accredited Therapeutic Community.

Set working days for this role areTuesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility available for the third working day.

· Provide a highly specialist psychological service to service users with severe and complex mental health needs, including those requiring multi-intervention approaches, intensive risk management, and extensive multi-agency collaboration.

· Lead, supervise, and support the safe and effective delivery of services within local multidisciplinary teams and across wider Trust services.

· Contribute to the ongoing delivery, development, and accreditation of the Therapeutic Community, including all associated clinical and organisational activities.

· Demonstrate strong reliability, comprehensive clinical knowledge, and excellent IT skills, with confidence using a range of digital systems and software.

· Travel independently across Berkshire; access to your own vehicle is required.

The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
• Recognised master's level qualification in psychodynamic psychotherapy or equivalent and registered with UKCP as a psychotherapist or with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) andadditional training/ accreditations to reflect post qualification specialism (e.g. Health Psychology, Neuropsychology, BABCP, UKCP, ACAT, EMDR-UK, BPS,).

· Demonstratable post qualification experience working as a qualified psychologist/psychotherapist offering evidence-based therapies in area of specialism.

· Significant experience of facilitating and delivering therapeutic groups within the NHS setting and / or Therapeutic Communities.
