Service Improvement Officer, Stornoway

£51,632 - £55,741 per annum, inclusive of £2,997 per annum Distance Island Allowance

As the Service Improvment Office you are responsible for the development and implementation of a continuous improvement programme for the Health and Social Care Department.This will involve leading on project work and providing support to the Commissioning Manager and Service Management. The main purpose of the job is to improve the services being delivered by the Department or in partnership with other organisations through the development and implementation of a Departmental improvement programme. The postholder will lead on improvements in response to projects, external and internal audit, reviews and/or inspections. This will inform the implementation of the service improvement programmes and associated focus work on the basis of achieving improvement targets

You must be educated to degree leave or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. you should have experience of managing a programme of multidisciplinary projects; identifying resources (budgets, people etc) to enable projects to proceed. As well as experience of formulating long-term plans, and balancing strategic and financial demands to sustain and achieve key goals within the organisation.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Adults (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot)

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
