Summary

As an Inpatient Mental Health Occupational Therapist (Band 6), you will be an integral part of our established multi-disciplinary team. Your mission will be to collaboratively support older adults in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life. The post-holder will have excellent assessment and individual and group intervention skills, and will have the opportunity to provide client-centered assessments and interventions in a flexible and creative way. There are also opportunities to develop the service in line with Mental Health Community Transformation
To work in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat older people with dementia and/or mental ill health, facilitating discharge and enabling future accommodation/care needs to be identified in regard to individual preference and best interest.
To be responsible for an appropriate caseload, providing Occupational
Therapy specific assessment, treatment/interventions via a range of
individual and/or group treatments.
To provide clinical supervision and support practice education when required.
To contribute to the planning and evaluation of the Older People’s Mental
Health services.
