Summary
The Theatres, Anaesthetics and Pre-Assessment Services are undergoing an exciting expansion: two new theatres are coming into service; robotics surgery is being introduced to the Trust; and an exciting transformation programme of work being rolled out across the perioperative services. The department is a support service, meaning we support all surgical teams and services within the SWNS division. Therefore, this post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to build a wide range of relationships in order to provide a great service. Theatres, Anaesthetics and Pre-Assessment Services are integral to the divisional operational, financial and RTT targets and we’re looking for a high performing individual to join our team to help deliver against those targets.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the operations manager with the day to day running of the service. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Building good working relationships with key stakeholders,
· Ensuring administrative processes are completed to a high standard,
· Supporting with troubleshooting any on the day issue including maintenance issues, staffing and flow issues,
· Supporting with the various departmental meetings,
· Leading on workstreams for the theatre’s transformation programme,
· Line management responsibilities for administrators,
· Supporting the theatre nursing teams with administrative tasks,
· Creating internal processes and updating current processes whereby a gap is identified.
