The Pharmacy Department at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ambitious and forward thinking, striving to ensure that the patient is always at the heart of everything we do.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist to join the dynamic antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) team and lead on Trust-wide initiatives to optimise antimicrobial use, improve patient outcomes, and support national infection management priorities.

This leadership role is pivotal in driving AMS initiatives across the organisation, supporting safe and effective antimicrobial use, and contributing to national priorities in infection management.

As part of our multidisciplinary AMS team, you will:

Lead on stewardship strategies and quality improvement projects.
Collaborate with clinical teams to optimise antimicrobial prescribing.
Provide expert advice on complex infection cases and antimicrobial policy.
Support education and training for pharmacy and clinical colleagues.
Act as the pharmacy AMS lead in the management of medicines for outbreaks of known or emerging epidemic-prone diseases and oversee related vaccination programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists passionate about AMS who are ready to develop leadership skills and influence practice at a strategic level. You will be joining a forward-thinking department committed to innovation and patient safety.
