About the role:

The School wishes to appoint a Clinical and Workplace-based Skills Facilitator to join our MBBS teaching team. This is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to further develop their experience of teaching and assessment in the field of Clinical Skills. You will work with the Theme Lead for Medical Skills and Quality Care on the planning, delivery and assessment of Clinical Skills in Years 3, 4 and 5, in both the workplace and the classroom setting. You will teach Clinical Skills as part of the Campus Day programme and will provide mentoring and support to students from the School of Medicine within the workplace with regard to clinical placements, Clinical Skills and the assessment thereof, particularly with regard to Workplace-Based Assessments (WBAs).

About you:

You will have significant recent post registration experience supported with evidence of clinical competence and experience of working within regulatory body requirements. Utilising excellent communication skills, you will be an active networker and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must be registered with a relevant UK Healthcare Professional Body, hold a Post Registration qualification in professional field of expertise, a Higher Degree in a health-related subject or be willing to work towards, and a teaching qualification or be willing to undertake upon appointment.
