EPUT is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor who will provide consistent, high quality Medical input support to Older Adult Community team based atCherry Trees, St Peters Hospital, Maldon, CM9 6EG but required to work at other Trust locations as requested in response to the demands of the service

The specialty doctor will be expected to work independently and provide clinical leadership to the team, through good multi-professional working. The specialty doctor will have shared responsibility for the clinical care of those patients referred to the team and will be expected to work closely with the consultant and team manager to ensure the provision of an effective service.



You should be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also need to provide evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in psychiatry at time of application and likelihood of achieving CT2 competences in psychiatry by the start date of the post.

• The post holder will be expected to work with the consultants in the team.
• Community care to the patients under the care of Brentwood mental health services.
• Participation in MDT meetings
• Clinical supervision of trainees
• Medical support for patients under the care of Brentwood team.
• Conduct MDT meetings and take responsibility as a senior clinician in the absence of the Consultant.
