Summary
We are pleased to advertise a full-time post at ST3+ level in Respiratory Medicine at the North Middlesex University Hospital site of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be a six-month fixed term position available from October 2025 to April 2026. The focus of this job will be to support the in-patient and outpatient care of respiratory patients as part of a team of respiratory speciality trainees.
This post is suitable for a trainee with IMT experience who wishes to gain more experience in respiratory medicine and would provide excellent preparation for a candidate considering an application for respiratory medicine specialty training. Although not a recognised training post the vacancy is due to no trainee being allocated for this period. Our department is strong on developing our resident doctors and the post holder will be able to access similar educational opportunities within the hospital as our training registrars. There will be an opportunity to undertake educational, academic or quality improvement projects whilst in post.
Our trust has over 71,000 staff serving 2 million patients every year. It comprises Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, North Middlesex Hospital and more than 30 services in the community. This larger scale organisation provides unprecedented opportunity for us to continue our pioneering work, particularly in finding ways to deliver even better care to our patients.
Across our hospitals, our vision is clear: to deliver world class expertise and local care. We combine globally recognised clinical expertise with local and friendly hospital care to represent the NHS at its best.
Our mission is to be world class in terms of healthcare treatment, clinical research and teaching excellence. We aim to deliver and develop leading local healthcare in all our hospitals, to improve lives and help people thrive.
