Our operation is growing rapidly, and due to continued expansion and investment, we are looking to add a talented Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of sustainable recycling technology.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance on a variety of plant machinery, ensuring smooth and safe operation of equipment including hammer mills, shredders, balers, an extruder, and melt filtration systems.This is a hands-on, varied role that requires both mechanical and electrical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.Key Responsibilities· Perform regular preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide range of recycling plant and machinery.· Carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and disruption to production.· Fit, assemble, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies.· Conduct electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs, including root cause analysis to identify recurring issues.· Work closely with the operations and production teams to maintain equipment efficiency and performance.· Ensure compliance with all Health text-indent: -18pt;">· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.· Adapt to changing priorities and assist with other engineering or site tasks as required.Requirements· Recognised Electrical and Mechanical qualifications.· Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.· Clear written and verbal communication skills.· Positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork ethic.· Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.· Adherence to Health and Safety regulations at all times.· Willingness to undertake additional training and development as required.Desirable (Not Essential)· FLT and/or MEWP Scissor Lift licence.· Experience working with compactors, balers, extruders, and similar machinery.· Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or recycling environment.· Knowledge and experience of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.· Demonstrated experience in 3-phase electrical systems and mechanical fault-finding/repairs.· First Aid qualification.· Fire Warden training or certification.· Health color: gray;">, such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent day courses.What We Offer· Competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000, depending on experience.· Full training and ongoing development opportunities.· A supportive and safety-focused work environment.· Opportunity to work with advanced recycling and processing equipment.How to ApplyIf you are interested in this role, please send your CV and cover letter to northampton@workchain.co.uk, or call01604 439886to discuss the position further.
