Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Accountant to join our collaborative finance team. This role is open to individuals who are fully or nearly qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA and who have a strong interest in financial management and business performance. If nearly qualified we will only be considering candidates who are aiming to finish their qualification and become fully qualified.
As an Accountant, you will play a central role in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts, management accounts analysis, and reporting across different areas of the business. As a commercially aware Accountant, you have oversight of proposals and costing of projects, and how these align with the strategic aims of the business.
Key responsibilities include supporting tax and regulatory compliance, monitoring changes that impact the business, and managing initiatives such as R&D tax credits and government schemes. You will also contribute to the monthly management accounts process, forecast analysis, budget planning, capital expenditure projects, and continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
Beyond the technical aspects, this role provides the opportunity to act as a mentor to apprentice accountants, be mentored by senior finance professionals, support the year-end audit process, and collaborate closely with a team that brings diverse and complementary finance skills. We are looking for someone who will not only strengthen the delivery of finance but also enhance the team’s impact across the wider business.
