Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Forest School Leader to join our team. As a leader, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and evidencing forest school sessions in school settings. We work with nursuries, primary schools, middle schools and secondary schools. Our current role is full time with 30+ hours available (salary pro rata) based in Bridgwater and Highbridge. All leaders receive 20% of teaching time for admin which can be completed as flexitime.
Primary Forest School offer lots of provision and each leaders' timetable is individualised to them and their schools. You may be delivering Class Provision, Interventions, Site development, Clubs (lunchtime and after school), First Aid Curriculum and parent groups. Each day is different but during term time you are stationed at the same schools all academic year. Successful leaders will not only feel like a part of the Primary Forest School team but also the schools they are working with.
During school holidays we deliver holiday clubs Tuesday - Thursday (8am - 6pm). Leaders will lead a range of fun and exciting activities to children aged 5 - 11 years with fellow Primary Forest School leaders and bank staff at selected sites.
**Duties:**
Ensuring forest school sites are safe for sessions to commence.
Planning differentiated sessions through an overview (company has lesson plans and ideas for leaders' to adapt).
Delivering controlled, safe and fun outdoor sessions to a range of ages and need.
To evidence learning and experiences through scrapbooks, newsletters, noticeboards and pupil reviews.
Attend all necessary CPD and meetings hosted by Primary Forest School
To lead and feedback on holiday clubs at selected sites.
**Required Experience:**
At least 2 years working with children in school setting
Confident behaviour management
Outdoor interest and/or qualifications
A proactive and positive working ethos
**Desired Experience.**
Early Years
Level 3 Forest School Training / Level 3 Outdoor qualification / Degree in Outdoor Education
