Summary

We're seeking a General Manager to join our Transportation team in Brackley. This position will support a major project focused on diverting all utilities along an 80km section of HS2. The work is delivered under a framework agreement, with multiple live schemes running concurrently. A full driving licence and CSCS card is essential for this role.

Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire - travel to the office required with some remote working availableHours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: up to £108,000 per year + 25% bonus opportunity + £7,350 annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits



What will you be responsible for?

As General Manager you'll provide inspiring leadership for our multi utilities framework on HS2. In this collaborative role, you'll guide project delivery across the full EKFB section, nurturing team development while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Your day to day will include:

-Managing Contract Managers across sections, coordinating resources and nurturing team development

-Collaborating with the commercial manager to ensure favourable outcomes while maintaining financial awareness

-Facilitating client meetings and presenting progress updates with confidence and clarity

-Building meaningful relationships at all levels while planning ahead to balance workloads

-Supporting team members and fostering a positive, collaborative culture with a growth mindset

-Proven experience coordinating multi-utility diversions

-Experience managing high-performing operational teams in major projects

-Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire others
