The Best Connection are currently recruiting Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers for our client based in Team Valley, Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for night trunking work with consistent hours, excellent pay, and the chance to join a reliable and supportive team throughout the busy period and beyond. New passes considered.
The Role:- Trunk runs to Coventry
- Working Monday to Friday
- Start time between 21:00 and 21:45
- Carrying out collections and deliveries as required
- Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and delivered on time
- Performing vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards
- Communicating effectively with the transport team
- Must hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required
- Minimum of 6 months' Class 1 HGV driving experience
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Monday to Friday nights
- Start time: Between 21:00 and 21:45
- Ongoing work with consistent weekly hours
- £16.00 per hour (Monday-Sunday)
- £16.50 per hour after 40 hours
- £16.50 per hour (Monday-Sunday) after 12 weeks
- £20.50 overtime rate after 12 weeks
- £32.50 bank holiday rate after 12 weeks
