About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for overseeing all mechanical work, ensuring high standards of service, and mentoring junior staff. This role requires exceptional technical knowledge and leadership ability.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.
Lead and supervise the workshop team, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control.
Perform advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Liaise with customers and provide expert advice when required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualification:
Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
Experience:
At least 15 years in a mechanical role, with proven expertise in diagnostics and repairs.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
