We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Principal Planning Officer to join our team.

The Role


We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced planning professional to join our Local Plans team at a pivotal time. With our Local Plan nearing adoption, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Charnwood through:


Developing and implementing planning policies
Supporting the preparation of Supplementary Planning Documents
Contributing to the creation of a Borough-wide Design Code and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

You will need a full UK driving licence as you will be traveling throughout the Borough and may be using your own transport.





About You


You’ll bring:


Proven experience in handling complex planning policy matters
Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and partner organisations
A degree in Town and Country Planning
Full membership of the RTPI
