What skills and experience we're looking for

Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Director of SEND. This is an exceptionally important role for us here at Bruntcliffe Academy and the successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting point in our development.

The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of first class educational provision for all pupils at the academy, with a particular focus on the management of SEND specialist teachers, teaching assistants and external agencies. The successful candidate will also have a proven track record as an expert teacher as well as experience of engaging effectively with pupils and parents/carers as partners in their learning. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the impact of their work with SEND pupils across all areas of academy life.

Potential applicants will be expected to hold specialist SENDCo qualifications or be working towards those qualifications.
