As part of our continued investment in our workforce, we are seeking a skilled Job Evaluation and Reward Manager to join our HR team. The Role The Job Evaluation and Reward Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our job evaluation, pay, grading and reward frameworks. You will ensure our approaches are fair, transparent, legally compliant and aligned with sector best practice. This is a strategic and hand on role, ideal for someone with strong HR analytical expertise and experience working in complex educational or public sector environments (desirable) Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the Colleges job evaluation processes, ensuring consistency, fairness and alignment with organisational structure and workforce needs • Maintain and develop the Colleges pay, grading and reward frameworks in line with statutory requirements and sector standards • Provide expert advice and support to leaders and managers on job design, evaluation outcomes, reward decisions and workforce planning • Analyse pay and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, producing reports and recommendations for senior leaders and governors • Oversee pay benchmarking activities and ensure the College remains competitive with the education sector • Support pay review processes, including scenario modelling, communications and implementation • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, equality duties and internal policies relating to pay and reward • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to support organisational development, recruitment, retention and staff wellbeing initiatives About You • A minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification (or higher) • Significant experience in job evaluation, pay and grading design, and reward policy, ideally in a educational, public sector or similarly complex organisation • Strong understanding of UK employment law, equal pay requirements and sector job evaluation frameworks, for example, NJC, Hay, GLPC • Experience analysing and presenting HR/pay data to senior leaders • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills • High levels of accuracy, discretion and professional integrity What We Offer • A supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking team environment • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme • Generous annual leave entitlement and College-wide wellbeing initiatives • Free parking / easy access to local public transport • On-site Costa & Starbucks
