Accountant (Place and Central Services)
Location Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, M32 0TH.
This is a hybrid working post where the post holder will have the option to work from home for the majority of the time but will be required to attend the office as and when the service requires.
Salary range Band 8 (SCP 30-32) £40,777 - £42,839 per annum

About the Role
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant who will support the Senior Accountant with the responsibility for Place and Central Services. This will include the preparation of budgets and monitoring support to budget holders and senior management.
The role will also include providing professional financial advice and support to the service areas, enabling them to understand financial implications and how this information is a key part of the decision making process.
You will provide essential support in assessing service budget pressures to ensure that they are reflected in the Medium Term Financial Plan.
About you
The role is ideal for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and professional individual who is suitably qualified or equivalent in terms of experience, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with service managers and external partners.
