Summary
Job Title: KS2 Teacher - Resource Base, supporting children with SEMHLocation: Runcorn
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week (until end of February, with possibility of extension)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS2 Teacher to join a supportive school in Runcorn. You will lead a small, nurturing class of 8 pupils within the school's KS2 Resource Base, working alongside two experienced Teaching Assistants. This role focusses on supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, creating a safe and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for KS2 pupils with SEMH needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with experienced TA's and the wider school team to ensure consistent support for pupils.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with SEMH pupils or in a specialist setting is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
- Full right to work in the UK
- Must be available immediately and able to commit to 5 days per week for the duration of the contract.
