We are working with a lovely nursery in Pulborough supporting them in recruiting for a qualified Nursery Practitioner on a full time basis (must hold Level 3 qualification in Early Years).

Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Brinsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and committed to creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children. You will play a key role in supporting the organisation and delivery of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring every child is happy, settled, and able to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key worker for named children, planning for individual needs and maintaining accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, staff, and external agencies.
- Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety.
- Support with daily activities and respect the working environment and resources.
- Uphold company policies, including safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
- Experience working in a childcare setting or placement.
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Care and Education (or equivalent).
- Understanding of EYFS, Every Child Matters, and Ofsted National Standards.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to relate to children at their level.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and proactive approach.
- Willingness to work shifts, occasional evenings, and weekends.
- Successful completion of employment checks (DBS, health assessment, references, right to work in the UK).
Desirable:
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding, and equality legislation.
- Creative thinking and IT skills.
