Available SEN Therapist Roles
We are recruiting for a variety of therapy-based roles, including:
• Speech & Language Therapists (SaLT) – HCPC Registered
• Occupational Therapists (OTs) – HCPC Registered
• Art Therapists / Creative Arts Therapists
• Drama Therapists
• Music Therapists
• Mental Health Practitioners
• Counsellors (Schools & Youth Settings)
• Play Therapists
• Educational Wellbeing Practitioners
• SEMH Intervention Therapists
Positions available in EYFS, Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 specialist provisions.
The Role – SEN Therapist
Depending on your specialism, your responsibilities may include:
• Delivering 1:1 and small-group therapeutic interventions
• Conducting assessments, progress reviews, and writing professional reports
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and multi-disciplinary therapists
• Contributing to personalised learning plans and therapy programmes
• Supporting whole-school wellbeing and intervention strategies
• Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment
Person Specification
To be considered, you must:
• Hold a degree in a relevant therapeutic field (e.g., Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Art/Drama/Music Therapy, Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, etc.)
• Be HCPC Registered (required for SaLT, OT, and practitioner psychologists)
• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or clinical settings)
• Have strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills
• Be compassionate, patient, and committed to improving the lives of vulnerable learners
• Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
NQT / early-career therapists welcome depending on school needs.
