Summary

Neway International are seeking a People Relationship Advisor (L4Z2) to join our client Camden Council

Location: 5 Pancras Square, Camden
Hours: 36 per week (09:00 – 17:30)
Start Date: 08/12/2025 - initially for a 3 month contract that will be extended after review.
Pay Rates: £25.25 PAYE / £32.99 Umbrella

The Role
The People Relationship Advisor will provide expert HR advice and support across a portfolio of services, helping to build positive employee relationships, increase engagement, and create a strong organisational culture. The role will work flexibly across service areas, supporting managers and teams to deliver excellent outcomes for Camden’s residents.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver consistent expert advice on employment practice and legislation, including complex cases and Employment Tribunals.

Support organisational change, workforce planning, pay and reward, job evaluations, and learning and development.

Promote inclusive, relational, and restorative approaches in employment practices.

Provide hands-on involvement in disputes, de-risking issues and supporting resolution.

Supply service areas with people data, insight, and best practice for evidence-based decision making.

Strengthen relationships with Trade Unions, staff networks, and stakeholders.

Design and deliver people-focused projects and initiatives across the council.

Coach and support managers in people management practices, including training and workshops.

Contribute to policy development, ensuring guidelines reflect relational and restorative principles.

Represent the People Relationship Lead in meetings when required.

Candidate Requirements
Detailed knowledge of employment legislation and HR practice (CIPD qualification or equivalent).

Commitment to inclusive, relational, and restorative approaches.

Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyse issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.

Collaborative approach with internal and external partners.

Evidence of planning and contributing to project deliverables.

Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels.

Innovative, customer-focused, and committed to continuous learning and development.
