Torus Group are seeking an experienced Domestic Abuse Officer to join our Tenancy Sustainment Team. In this vital role, you will
ensure Torus provides a robust response to customers experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse. You will lead on safety-focused
responses to disclosures, deliver survivor-led housing support, and contribute to wider safety planning.
You will provide trauma-informed support, make initial contact with victims and survivors, complete risk assessments, and follow
local authority referral pathways to specialist services. The role also includes representing Torus at MARAC in St Helens and
acting as deputy for Liverpool or Warrington, offering key housing input to help manage victim and survivor safety.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Manage a caseload, providing housing-related advice and support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
* Complete DASH/Merit risk assessments and follow local authority referral pathways, including to specialist services and MARAC.
* Build effective multi-agency relationships and represent Torus at MARAC with clear, relevant housing input.
* Assess and arrange target hardening and other security measures where needed.
* Advise on rehousing options, supporting applications, priority requests, and access to emergency accommodation.
* Work with specialist domestic abuse services to provide practical support on housing, health, finance and wider safety
planning.
* Record all assessments, plans and interventions accurately in QL case management.
* Empower customers to understand domestic abuse dynamics and regain control of their lives.
* Identify and report safeguarding concerns for adults and children, participating in relevant multi-agency meetings.
* Liaise with internal teams to meet housing needs and manage customer expectations about the service.
What We’re Looking For:
* GCSE Grade 3 and above education or equivalent relevant qualification, training, or experience
* CIH level 3 or willingness to work towards.
* Evidence of working in the housing or domestic abuse sector
* Experience of managing a case load and multi-agency working
* Experience of crisis management, risk minimisation and of making decisions in difficult situations
Interview Process:
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place w/c15th
