Summary

Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Maldon, Essex, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This position offers a competitive salary range of £90 to £105 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be committed to helping them reach their full potential. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support to students, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and assistance to thrive in their learning environment.

- Work in collaboration with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with SEN
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their specific needs
- Assist with the preparation of educational resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Encourage students to develop their social skills and promote positive behaviour
- Attend and contribute to meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to the school's policies and procedures
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Patience, empathy, and a caring approach towards students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and parents
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring student welfare
