A school based in Stockton is looking for a qualified Teacher who has experience of teaching children and young people who are diagnosed with Autism. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of or an interest in teaching people with special needs and be comfortable teaching from ages 4 to 19 years old.
The Role
- Term-Time only, Mon to Friday 8.30-4.30pm
- Starting ASAP
- Teaching children who have a diagnosis of Autism
- Teaching a primary curriculum to a small class of 10 and 11 year olds
- Developing pupils' early social, communication and independence skills
- Assisting with a tailored curriculum that supports individual pupils
- This is a temporary role but has the potential of becoming permanent
You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of teaching children who are diagnosed with Autism
- Experience of planning and delivering a primary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Poses the ability to deliver a diverse curriculum across all age groups who have a variety of abilities
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children
- Hold Right to Work in the UK - we do not offer sponsorship so please do not apply unless you are able to live and work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
