Summary

Our client, a reputable educational institution located in the charming coastal town of Teignmouth, Devon, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Sen Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the learning and development of students with special educational needs (SEN) within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

As a Sen Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique requirements
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals
- Assisting students with classroom activities, assignments, and projects, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with teachers and parents
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and fosters a love for learning
- Adapting learning materials and resources to accommodate students' specific needs and learning styles
- Participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support

To be considered for this rewarding position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant qualifications in education, special needs support, or a related field (e.g. , Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to working with students
- The ability to adapt to individual learning styles and needs
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity, equality, and diversity in the learning environment
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
