Summary
An 'Outstanding' Nursery setting, that has bright, spacious and a stimulating surrounding are looking for a passionate Room Leader Baby Room to join their fun, supportive and encouraging management team.
You must have strong knowledge of the EYFS, good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The Nursery Practitioner must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children.
This is a full time permanent role with 40 hours/week working with rotating shifts between 8am – 6pm.
Location – Northwood , HA6.
Salary Offered -£27k - £28k based on experience
Qualification - Level 3 in Childcare & Education
Baby Room Leader – Key Responsibilities
•Lead and support the Baby Room team to provide high-quality care for babies aged 0–2 years.
•Ensure consistent routines for feeding, nappies, sleep and age-appropriate activities.
•Create a warm, nurturing, safe and stimulating Baby Room environment.
•Maintain accurate observations, learning records and daily care logs.
•Build strong partnerships with parents and communicate children’s progress daily.
•Ensure staff follow safeguarding, safe sleep, bottle-feeding and health & safety procedures.
•Carry out daily room checks, risk assessments and hygiene/cleaning routines.
•Plan and oversee sensory and developmental activities tailored to individual needs.
•Support and guide staff development, training and positive team working.
•Ensure babies have regular access to outdoor play, pram walks and sensory exploration.
•Work closely with management, SENCO and other coordinators when needed.
Skills Required for the ideal Room Leader for the Preschool Room
•Level 3 in Childcare & Education (or equivalent) / QTS
•Good sound knowledge of the EYFS
•Experience in a nursery setting
•Good written and communication skills
