Our client is one of the country's largest EPOS technology providers, supplying hardware, mobile ordering apps, and web apps to engage consumers through loyalty programmes or reservations.
The Job
As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot system connectivity issues at sites throughout Oldham, Rochdale, Bury and the surrounding areas.
Duties include:
• Site Surveys
• Installation, testing and configuration of EPOS systems, including structured cable testing
• Planned maintenance
• Diagnosis of faults and swap out of units
• Fault-finding on computer WIFI networks
• Reimaging PCs, data copies and system updates
About You
As a Field Service Engineer, you should have a good mix of the following skills and experience.
• Field-based customer service engineering experience
• Knowledge of computer hardware (PCs, IP Networks and WIFI)
• Manage own diary and workload
• EPOS knowledge desirable / not essential as training given
• Full Manual Driving Licence
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
On-Call One Week in Three: Standby Hours: Mon – Fri 5pm-9pm, Sat & Sun 9am – 9pm
Benefits
£31396 (£28620 + £2776 standby allowance) estimated earnings: £35000 including overtime when on call out + £250 quarterly performance bonus. Basic salary rises from £28620 to £30000 after 12 months service
