Admissions Business Development Manager
Location: The Old Prebendal House, Shipton-under-Wychwood (on site)
Contract: Temporary for 6 months’ full-time, starting ASAP, with the potential to be extended.
Are you a people-focused professional who is experienced in care home occupancy and business development? We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Admissions Business Development Manager to join our friendly team at The Old Prebendal House in Shipton-under-Wychwood, and to support the continued growth of our beautiful care home.
About the role
As Admissions Business Development Manager, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, offering reassurance, clear information and a compassionate approach throughout the admissions journey.
Reporting to the Director of Care and working alongside the wider team, you will focus on occupancy and helping the home to reach its objectives – but always with sensitivity and the resident experience at the heart of everything you do.
We’re so proud of what we offer here, and we want you to take a key role in representing our home externally and spreading the word about our fantastic service. You will build strong networks with referral partners, ensuring that The Old Prebendal House remains a well-known and trusted name within the local area and beyond.
Key responsibilities
Manage bed availability and carry out resident assessments – balancing resident needs, staffing levels and clinical priorities to always ensure safe admissions.
Build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with referral partners including hospitals, social workers, GPs, community groups and other professionals.
Ensure the admissions process runs smoothly, alongside the Director of Care, from initial enquiry through to admission.
Support local marketing initiatives, represent the care home at events and promote the brand’s services.
Ideally, you will be a car driver with use of your own transport for visits if required, although you will be based on site at our care home.
