We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Children’s Workers to join our agency team supporting children and young people in residential homes across the Oxford area. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
About the Role
As a Residential Children’s Worker, you will provide consistent care, encouragement and stability to children and young people who may have experienced trauma or challenging circumstances. Your role will involve helping them feel safe, supported and empowered to develop positive routines and life skills. You will work as part of a caring and committed team to create a nurturing environment where every young person has the chance to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day to day care and emotional support to children and young people
Promote positive behaviour and model healthy, respectful relationships
Support with routines such as mealtimes, activities, education and bedtime
Work collaboratively with the residential team to maintain a safe and supportive home environment
Follow care plans and safeguarding procedures at all times
What We Are Looking For
A warm, patient and resilient individual who genuinely enjoys supporting young people
Experience working with children or young people in a care, education or support setting
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A calm, proactive approach and a commitment to providing high quality care
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as needed
A driving licence is helpful but not essential
