Summary

Location: JTL Oxford Training Centre

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on skills and experience.

Working pattern: Full time & permanent. Normal working hours are 35 per week, excluding 1-hour main meal break.

About the role

Job Purpose: To be responsible for carrying out AM2 assessments within the centre.



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Carry out assessments in line with NET requirements.
Ensure all AM2 documentation, resources and systems are up to date and meet highest quality standards.
Maintain NET centre approval, ensuring the centre is fully compliant and operational at all times.
Proactively engage customers, responding to any training needs/queries/issues raised by employers, apprentices or related parties in a timely and professional manner and feeding back to the AM2 administration department.
Maintain good working relationships with external parties assisting with industry events and committees when required.
Maintain an awareness of developments in field of expertise ensuring professional knowledge is always up to date.
Co-operate with internal and external inspection bodies, responding to any reasonable request for information when required.
Actively engage in other duties under the discretion of your Line Manager.


Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment
A relevant qualification relating to knowledge and understanding of the current edition of the BS 7671 IET Requirements for Electrical Installations.
Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391 – 2394/5 or equivalent).
JIB Gold Card with “Electrician” status
Good Presentation Skills.
Good IT Skills.


Desirable:

Certificate in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
Assessor qualifications (D32, D33 or A1).
An un-expired Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
Teaching experience of an Electrical Installations syllabus.
Internal Verifier qualifications (D34 or V1).
