We’re recruiting on behalf of a local client for a hands-on HGV Workshop Supervisor to oversee a small busy technical team. The role is a hands-on HGV Workshop Supervisor, it’s not a pure desk job, and candidates will be working on the tools as required.
Duties include:
• Lead, support, and motivate a team of Technicians and Fitters.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA standards and operators’ licence requirements.
• Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and support technical queries.
• Maintain accurate workshop records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement across the workshop.
To be considered for the HGV Workshop Supervisor role candidate must have proven experience as an HGV Technician with some supervisory or shift-leading experience.
Intermediate It skills and In-depth knowledge of workshop safety, DVSA standards, and fleet maintenance as well as excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills are essential.
