Summary
We are looking to recruit a minimum a band 5 staff nurse to join our team within gynaecology nursing trust wide. Our services includes working in an outpatient setting on all our major sites, emergency gynaecology at the Northumbria hospital and Ward 6 North Tyneside General Hospital, which is our dedicated pregnancy loss unit. This will include working weekends and Bank holidays dependent upon the demands of the service. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, highly-motivated and caring staff members to work in this area. The successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a dynamic nursing team delivering all aspects of care to patients.

The successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a dynamic nursing team delivering all aspects of care to patients. The post will be based at Wansbeck General hospital, but the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust to meet the needs of the service. They will working within the nurse led services providing, all training will provided in house.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the ward team under the direction of the Ward Manager.
To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of nursing services in the ward/dept in
the absence of senior staff on a regular basis.
To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a
collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership
style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote
ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and
collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
