The Role
We are recruiting a Practice Manager to join the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within Children’s Services. This is a senior practitioner role, covering maternity leave, and offers a unique opportunity to support the MASH team in assessing risk, managing thresholds for intervention, and promoting the welfare of children and young people in Thurrock.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake risk assessments and ensure timely responses to child protection, children in need, and Early Help cases.

Support the MASH team with Early Help, information sharing, and multi-agency collaboration.

Deputise for the team/deputy manager where required.

Ensure compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.

Promote safeguarding and signpost cases to appropriate services.

Candidate Requirements
Registered with Social Work England and hold a social work degree/masters.

Senior Practitioner level experience.

Enhanced DBS required.

Experience within a multi-agency/front door team.

Strong understanding of thresholds and interventions.

Knowledge of universal support and Early Help services.

Ability to be office-based for a minimum of two days per week.
