Ipswich Borough Council is responsible for the care and management of four cemeteries, a crematorium, and a busy masonry department. We are now seeking a skilled and dedicated Stonemason to join our team on a full-time, permanent contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional who is passionate about their craft and takes pride in producing high-quality memorials.
About the Role
Work closely with one other experienced stonemason as part of our established team, delivering memorial masonry services to the highest standards.
Use your expertise in Mason Art to create accurate set-outs.
Carry out sandblasting and all associated memorial stonemason tasks with precision and care.
Engage directly with bereaved families, providing compassionate and professional support in a public-facing role.
We are looking for someone who:
Is Bramm and Namm registered, with a valid fixers licence.
Has proven experience in memorial masonry and a strong eye for detail.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Holds a full, valid driving licence.
Demonstrates pride in their work and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Hours of work are 37hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This is a permanent full time Cemetery based role.
