Summary

Part-Time Level 2/Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Colchester
Flexible Hours | Monday–Friday
Temporary Position with Opportunity to Go Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a caring and enthusiastic Level 2/Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a warm, welcoming early years setting in Colchester. This is a part-time position with flexible hours across Monday to Friday, making it ideal for candidates who need a role that fits around other commitments. The role starts on a temporary basis, but if you’re looking for something long-term, the nursery is very happy to consider a permanent position for the right person.

About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5


  • Supporting and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS


  • Observing, recording and contributing to children’s learning and development


  • Building warm and positive relationships with children, families and colleagues


  • Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development


  • Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures are followed


  • Working as part of a supportive, friendly and collaborative team


    What We’re Looking For

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare


    • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development


    • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach


    • A positive, nurturing and proactive attitude


    • Flexibility to work part-time hours throughout the week
