Role: Anti-Social Behaviour Case Manager
We are seeking a skilled ASB Case Manager to provide early intervention, enforcement, prevention, and people-focused services for investigating and resolving instances of anti-social behaviour across Somerset Council’s housing communities. This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in Taunton and surrounding areas, with 2 days home working.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of ASB, nuisance, and hate crime cases, supporting victims and witnesses.

Act as lead officer for hate crime and domestic abuse cases, signposting and protecting tenants.

Conduct thorough investigations, risk assessments, and interviews with complainants, witnesses, and perpetrators.

Take enforcement action (mediation, injunctions, possession) in conjunction with legal services.

Attend court hearings, evictions, and act as a professional witness.

Collaborate with police, partner agencies, and community groups to reduce ASB.

Attend MARAC meetings weekly, ensuring sensitive data is managed appropriately.

Provide training and coaching on ASB legislation and operational procedures.

Utilise CCTV and promote the Noise App to support investigations.

Maintain accurate records, safeguarding standards, and compliance with Data Protection.

Work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours meetings.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing and resolving ASB cases within a local authority or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, tenancy management, and court processes.

Experience working with partner agencies and managing conflict/disputes.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to use initiative, make sound decisions, and manage time effectively.

ICT proficiency and ability to maintain accurate case records.

Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent; degree-level qualification desirable.

Evidence of continuous professional development.

Willingness to travel across sites and work flexibly.
