Grace Darling Primary School is looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join the Dragonflies; a nurturing and inclusive specialist provision for children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language delay and Autism.
Our dedicated team works closely to create a learning environment where curiosity is encouraged and children can play and learn with confidence in a setting that meets their individual needs and follows the provision as outlined within their EHCP documents.
Please note, there is an opportunity to visit the school on Wednesday 3rd December at 11am, and interviews will take place on Wednesday 10th December.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are suitable to the current curriculum and help create a positive learning environment.
• Liaise with other members of staff such as SENDCO, teachers, support staff and a range of external professionals to ensure that the pupils’ needs are being met.
• Have a knowledge of current educational thinking and strategies to raise attainment, and be passionate about building positive relationships with young people to help them succeed.
• Ensure any necessary documentation is completed in line with policy and procedure.
• Support children in their learning and development by encouraging them to explore new interests during lessons.
